Crew SC midfielder Ethan Finlay has had a quiet start to his fifth Major League Soccer season, though he is certainly not alone on a winless team that has scored just two goals in three games.
But it was the noise Finlay made during his first days with the U.S. national team that has put him in the mix to help the Americans qualify for the next World Cup.
“Every training session, he pushed it always to the limit,” U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann said of Finlay’s first U.S. training camp in January. “He was fully engaged and full of energy.
