Crew SC was in no mood to pat itself on the back for a so-called moral victory.
Thanks to a goal in stoppage time by Ethan Finlay, the Crew managed to tie Eastern Conference leader New York City FC 3-3 on Saturday night at Mapfre Stadium.
But sitting seven points off a playoff spot and riding a 10-game winless streak, the Crew felt like it had squandered two points in letting NYCFC score twice in the final six minutes.
“Ten games? It seems a lot longer,” Crew coach Gregg Berhalter said of the drought during which his team is 0-4-6 since May 28.
