The Black & Gold kicked off the second round of the MLS SuperDraft with its second pick and second midfielder.
After selecting holding midfielder Rodrigo Saravia with the 19th overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft, Columbus Crew SC stayed in the midfield two picks later.
With the first pick of the second round - acquired from Orlando City SC in a trade for Adam Bedell last season - the Black & Gold drafted Cal Poly midfielder Chase Minter.
Minter finished as the Mustangs' all-time leader in assists (21), second in appearances (77), and fifth in points (53), and seventh in goals (16).
