Rockies fall to Dodgers yet again

In another of a series of pitching issues, Jeff Hoffman has been optioned to Triple-A. Hoffman has played in 33.1 innings and garnered a 6.75 ERA. This season, he hasn’t been able to go very far in the game, only once playing more than five innings. Bud Black acknowledges that the move for Hoffman is partly due to inconsistency, but also due to various players being a little banged up. The Rockies called up infielder Garrett Hampson in his place. In some good news, Trevor Story has said that he’s doing well and healing quickly.
