Rockies pitchers and catchers report to spring training Tuesday at Salt River Fields, with the focus on Colorado improving on its National League-worst 5.87 starting ERA from last season.

Who are the best five pitchers to take on, and succeed with, the burden of such a turnaround? Here’s my pre-spring training projections for Colorado’s rotation come opening day.

1. German Marquez

Marquez will get his first career opening day start on March 26 in San Diego, where the right-hander will set out to reach his potential as one a dominant starter.
