It happened in San Francisco on Sunday with German Marquez becoming the first pitcher in franchise history to throw a one-hit, complete game shutout in a 4-0 win that was desperately needed by the Colorado Rockies.

It happened again on Monday in San Francisco with Antonio Senzatela returning from the injured list and allowing just one run in 6.2 innings of work as Colorado posted a 5-2 win over the Padres.

Strong pitching was the core of the back-to-back wins, but there was also the common denominator of Nolan Arenado finally breaking through with home runs for the first time in 2019.
