The Colorado Rockies suffered a big blow to their offense on Thursday as shortstop Trevor Story was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a thumb injury.
In a corresponding move, infielder Brendan Rodgers was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Rockies manager Bud Black talked with the media extensively, including Mark Brown of FanCred Sports, before the game and divulged some more on Story’s injury.
He said that they would not know exactly how long or the severity of the injury to Story is until after today’s game as he is currently seeing a hand specialist in Phoenix to get some images and scans on his thumb.
