Goalkeeper Kainoa Likewise came up big for the Colorado Rapids’ Development Academy U-18/19s at Dallas Texans on Saturday as the visitors won 3-0.
With his side 2-0 up, Likewise - who spent much of the year on-loan at the Rapids' USL affiliate Charlotte Independence - kept the Texans off the scoresheet with a penalty save. At the other end, goals from Matt Hundley (2) and Greg Tracey sealed the victory.
An own-goal 16 minutes from time gave the U-16/17s a 2-1 win at the Texans. The Rapids had earlier taken the lead 16 minutes into the contest, through Cole Bassett.
