The first AP Top 25 was released Monday morning. The poll features two Pac-12 schools in the Top 25, but that’s Oregon (15) and Arizona (21), not Colorado.
It doesn’t take far to find Colorado, however, as they are second in the “also receiving votes” category. The Buffs are 27th unofficially, just behind Washington.
The Buffs were getting a ton of preseason Top 25 buzz throughout the past few weeks. But it turns out the AP voters rated lower than the Pac-12 media, who picked CU second in the conference, ahead of Arizona and Washington.
It’s still nice to be just outside the Top 25, because it means that we will most likely see Colorado ranked in the near future.
