Could Roberto Perez elevate his offense in 2020?

Roberto Perez was one of the most pleasant surprises of the 2019 season for the Indians, belting 24 home runs and posting a respectable .321 on-base percentage.

In hindsight, maybe we should have seen his offensive production coming as soon as Yan Gomes was traded to Washington.

Perez has always had some pop in his bat — most notably on display in Game 1 of the 2016 World Series.

In 2018, Perez posted a career high hard-hit rate of 42.6 percent, which may have prompted the Indians decision to move on from Gomes.
