Adam Cimber traded to Marlins for cash

The Cleveland Indians have traded relief pitcher Adam Cimber to the Miami Marlins for cash considerations. According to the Associated Press, $100,000 is coming back to the Indians in the deal.

Cimber’s two-plus years could charitably be described as interesting to watch, as he used his submarine style pitching motion in the latter innings — but not often with great results.

He was touted as a righty specialist when he was brought over along with Brad Hand in the Francisco Mejia trade, but the three-batter minimum rule implemented for the 2020 season put an end to that.
