It was over a decade since the Cleveland Browns appeared on Sunday Night Football, but their offense didn’t rise to the occasion, as they lost to the Los Angeles Rams 20-13. The Browns fell to 1-2 on the season.
The Browns’ opening drive was filled with three penalties, but P Jamie Gillan got a great roll on his punt to pin Los Angeles back inside the 20. Cleveland’s makeshift defense forced a quick three-and-out. On the Browns’ second drive, a 9-yard run by RB Nick Chubb set up a 3rd-and-1. But then, DT Aaron Donald made his presence known by swimming right by LG Joel Bitonio and hitting Chubb for a loss of two yards.
