Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media Wednesday evening following the Tigers’ practice, his final media availability ahead of Saturday’s game at South Carolina.
Swinney gave an injury update on true freshman quarterback Chris Denson, who suffered an injury in practice on Monday when he got his foot stepped on, on the scout team, while simulating South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers.
“He was a little better today [in practice],” Swinney said of Denson on Wednesday evening. “So, fortunately it wasn’t anything long-term or anything like that, so that’s a positive.”
Denson is coming off the most extensive action of his young career.
