It took K.J. Henry a little bit of time before he was able to step in and contribute for the Clemson football program.
Henry stepped on campus a little underweight and spent his first season as redshirt, getting stronger in the weight room and becoming adjusted to the system. That’s not the case for many 5-star prospects in today’s College Football, but it proved to be beneficial for the talented defensive end.
Henry came into his redshirt freshman season in 2019 looking to become a major contributor and that’s exactly what he did. Though Henry didn’t earn a starting position, he filled his role on the second-string and Clemson football fans began to see more and more of him as the season progressed.
