4-star DB gives Clemson high praise after visit

When four-star cornerback Jaylin Simpson received an offer from Clemson in late August, he said it was an offer he had been waiting for.

The class of 2019 standout from Frederica Academy in Saint Simons Island, Ga., didn’t wait long to make his first game-day visit to Clemson. Less than three weeks after getting the offer, Simpson traveled to Death Valley and took in the Tigers’ win over Auburn on Saturday.

“It was a lot of fun,” Simpson told The Clemson Insider. “One of the best environments I’ve been in.”

Simpson was impressed by the effort from Clemson’s defense, which gave up just 117 total yards in the 14-6 victory.
