There are questions about what a shortened Major League Baseball season could look like this year, but it’s obvious players are itching to return to the field.

Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed said Tuesday that he would be open to wearing masks during games if it meant he could play sooner. Cincinnati Reds reliever Amir Garrett says he’ll be ready to pitch whenever he receives the call about a start date. Players know it’s possible they may start the season in stadiums without fans.
