Trevor Bauer hopes to pitch as much as possible; Joey Votto wears 'Black Lives Matter' shirt

Trevor Bauer doesn’t have many off days in a typical offseason, so it’s no surprise that how active he was during Major League Baseball’s hiatus.

Remaining in Arizona after spring training was suspended, Bauer threw five times a week and lifted about five or six times a week. He faced hitters about twice a week in live batting practice sessions.

When Bauer was asked how many pitches he threw in his first live BP session at Great American Ball Park on Monday, he responded, “Not enough.”

The question looming throughout preseason camp is how much is enough for Bauer in the starting rotation.
