No pitcher has faced Nick Castellanos more in his Major League career than his new teammate Trevor Bauer.
The two squared off against each other for 52 plate appearances when they played in the American League Central, and three plate appearances last year when they were both traded into the National League Central.
Castellanos had solid numbers against Bauer. He was 15-for-53 with four doubles, two homers, two walks and 12 strikeouts. When he was informed of his stats against Bauer, he joked that he will rub it in Bauer’s face. They have different personalities, but they’re both known for their competitiveness.
