Reds Sneak by Padres 3-2

Sonny Gray pitched masterfully and Freddy Galvis hit another homer helping the Cincinnati Reds sneak by the San Diego Padres by a score of 3-2.

Gray pitched six innings of one-run baseball. He fanned 10 Padres while allowing just seven baserunners (four hits and three walks). The only run he allowed was on a solo home run by Josh Naylor in the top of the sixth. With his 10 strikeouts, Gray made that back-to-back days that Reds starters struck out at least 10 (Trevor Bauer had 11 last night). The last time Reds starters went back-to-back with 10+ K starts was 1968 with Gary Nolan and Jim Maloney.
