Former Reds outfielder Ryan LaMarre signs minor-league deal with Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs announced Friday that they signed former Cincinnati Reds outfielder Ryan LaMarre to a minor-league deal.

LaMarre, 31, played in 21 games for the Reds in 2015. He was a second-round pick of the Reds in the 2010 draft. He also has played for the Boston Red Sox, the Oakland A's, the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox. He hit .217 with two homers in 26 plate appearances last season for the Twins.

Former Red Derek Dietrich agreed earlier to a minor-league deal with the Cubs, which announced the move on Friday.
