Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa told reporters Wednesday that he reached out to Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow, whose season-ending knee injury will prevent a meeting between the top two quarterbacks selected in the 2020 NFL Draft when the Bengals visit the Dolphins on Sunday.
"Injuries like that are never fun," Tagovailoa said, per ESPN's Cameron Wolfe. "I know he'd love to be able to go out there and compete against us. I sent him my prayers. I wish him the best."
Tagovailoa's availability for Sunday's game is uncertain because of a thumb injury, though he is preparing as if he is going to start Sunday, according to a miamiherald.
