The Burrow-less Cincinnati Bengals lose to the Washington Football Team

The injury cart drove off the field early in the third quarter at FedEx Field, and it took one of the most promising players in the NFL with it.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a left knee injury on Sunday against the Washington Football Team. The Bengals (2-7-1) lost 20-9 to Washington (3-8), but the most important loss was Cincinnati’s star rookie quarterback.

Before he left the game, Burrow was having another impressive showing. In the first half, the Bengals had a season-high 247 yards, and Burrow had 195 passing yards.

Cincinnati advanced into scoring position on all five of its first-half drives.
