NFL extends daily COVID-19 testing and lifts ban on free agent tryouts

NFL training camps look a lot different right now due to the coronavirus. One notable change that has been in effect for much of camp thus far is a ban on player tryouts.

Thankfully, the league lifted its tryout on Tuesday, meaning free agents can now work out for all 32 NFL teams.

That may explain why it wasn’t until Tuesday night when the Bengals finally signed free agent Mike Daniels, who the team hosted for a visit on Sunday.

Defensive tackle is still a pretty thin position for the Bengals now that Tyler Clark has been waived while Renell Wren remains on the NFI list, so don’t be surprised if another interior lineman is signed eventually.
