Bengals believe they can get a 'premier player' that can help them win at pick No. 5

When the Cincinnati Bengals owned the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Duke Tobin, Zac Taylor and the team desired a player who had the ability to start immediately and make a significant impact. Tobin, Taylor and the Bengals haven’t deviated from last year’s stance for the player they select at No. 5 in the 2021 NFL Draft.

“Anybody we take with that fifth pick, the expectation is he’s going to come in and help us win immediately and play a big role. That’s the expectation,” Tobin, the director of player personnel said. “We’ll have a vision for that guy.
