The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team picked up a crucial road win this afternoon, pummeling the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 70-50.
The win improves UC to 11-7 overall and 3-2 in the American.
Cincinnati dominated the game from the opening tip, stifling Tulsa’s offensive (which shot .388 for the afternoon). Cincinnati led 25-12 at the half and never looked back.
The Bearcats found the mark all afternoon, shooting a season-best .556 for the game. Cincinnati scored 40 of its points in the paint and dominated the boards, 39-24.
Four Cincinnati Bearcats reached double figures: sophmore forward Ilmar’i Thomas, who is making a strong case for All-Conference honors, led the team with 18 points.
