Troy Caupain did not have to wait long for a National Basketball Association opportunity.
After going unselected in the 2017 NBA Draft on Thursday, former University of Cincinnati point guard Caupain tweeted Friday night that the Toronto Raptors had offered him a chance in the NBA Summer League next month.
“Summer League with the @Raptors! Thank you for the opportunity,” Caupain tweeted.
According to NBA.com, Toronto will participate in the NBA Summer League series July 7-17 in Las Vegas.
Caupain had pre-draft workouts and/or meetings with teams including Toronto, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Indiana, Charlotte, Sacramento, Milwaukee, Utah, Washington and the Los Angeles Clippers.
