The University of Cincinnati plans to play two NCAA Division II schools in men's basketball exhibition games this coming season, including one team coached by a former Northern Kentucky prep star.
UC will play host to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach, Fla.) and Bellarmine (Louisville, Ky.) on November dates to be announced, UC coach Mick Cronin said Wednesday. UC will play its 2017-18 home games at Northern Kentucky University's BB&T Arena, with the Bearcats' Fifth Third Arena closed until the 2018-19 season for renovations.
D-II power Bellarmine has become an exhibition regular for UC, including a 64-55 Bearcats win last season.
