Three University of Cincinnati men’s basketball players have earned All-District 25 honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Senior guard Troy Caupain (Midlothian, Va./Cosby HS) and junior forward Kyle Washington (Champlin, Minn./NC State) were first-team selections, while Jacob Evans (Baton Rouge, La./St. Michael the Archangel) was named second team.
Caupain, a second team All-American Athletic Conference selection by league coaches earlier this month, averaged 10.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 steals in 2016-17. He finished his senior year ranked sixth in the nation with a 3.36-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Caupain finished as the school’s all-time assist leader (515), ranked second in career player wins (102), third in career minutes (3,980), tied for third in games played (137) and tied for 22nd in career points (1,317).
