UC: 5 takeaways from romp over Tulane

Many believe the 2016-17 Cincinnati Bearcats are the best basketball team in coach Mick Cronin’s 11 seasons, and a 78-61 win at Tulane on Saturday further illustrated the Bearcats’ imposing depth.

Seldom-used Quadri Moore came off the bench for a career-high 14 points, including 11 during a game-changing stretch in the first half. Moore’s outburst, including 3-for-3 from 3-point range, sent UC from a 13-12 lead to 31-16.

That was all the No. 20 Bearcats needed. UC ran its record to 17-2 overall and 7-0 in the American Athletic Conference, taking care of a Tulane team that fell to 4-15 and 1-6, respectively.
