SACRAMENTO – Kevin Johnson knows it better than anyone. If the University of Cincinnati is to start an NCAA Tournament run here Friday, senior shooting guard Johnson must start scoring again.
Johnson (Summit Country Day) is scoreless in his last two games. The 6-foot-3 Johnson remains UC’s best defensive player, but his season scoring average has fallen from 8.9 to 8.0 during the last seven games.
“It’s tough, but I’ve been able to get in the gym and just find that rhythm,” Johnson said. “Make a couple shots, smile again and not feel so much pressure about making shots.
