Troy Caupain was not taken in the 2017 NBA Draft on Thursday night, but Caupain has received encouraging words from a former University of Cincinnati basketball All-America teammate.
Caupain is a 6-foot-4 guard who completed his UC eligibility this past season. Many analysts did not list Caupain in their NBA mock drafts, but Caupain could be in the free agent mix. Caupain had pre-draft workouts and/or meetings with teams including Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Indiana, Charlotte, Sacramento, Toronto, Milwaukee, Utah, Washington and the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 2017 draft began Thursday night and stretched past midnight.
