In the Cincinnati Bearcat echo chamber, dissatisfaction with the football program has been swirling for months and the main target of the ire has been head coach Tommy Tuberville. Fans and media members alike have either called or at least prognosticated that Tuberville would be let go following this season.

Official reports are finally starting to trickle out and it appears that Tuberville will step down rather than be let go.

Tuberville took over the program in 2013 and earned 9-4 records in his first two seasons, but there have been diminishing returns the last two years, with UC going 7-6 overall in 2015, a year in which it was predicted to win the American Athletic Conference in the preseason.
