John Brannen says he'll be honest.
A loss is a loss, the Cincinnati basketball coach acknowledged regarding the Bearcats falling 76-71 Saturday at Tulane, but Brannen maintained he would admit if his team, "was awful."
That wasn't the case, from his perspective.
"It doesn't discredit the fact that I thought we played well, and I thought guys were connected and I thought they did the things we needed to do," he said. "We just didn't do those for 40 minutes."
UC led by as many as 11 in the first half and had a two-point lead with four to play before dropping its third-straight true road contest of the season.
