Last week, the American Athletic Conference announced it’s pairings for the 2016-17 basketball season, the first step toward finalizing this year’s league schedule. While the final schedule won’t be released until late August or early September, we now know which opponents the Bearcats will play twice, and which opponents they will only face once.
As part of an 18-game league schedule, Cincinnati will play home and away against most of the league – UC will not travel to Memphis, and will not host East Carolina. I’m fairly neutral about that draw. Certainly not overly advantageous, but avoiding a trip to Memphis isn’t a bad thing.
