Former UC player Tyson drafted in 6th round

Former University of Cincinnati safety Michael "Mike" Tyson was the first Bearcats player taken in the 2017 National Football League draft, taken by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round Saturday.

The 6-foot-1, 204-pound Tyson played a hybrid nickel/linebacker position for UC in 2016 and led the Bearcats with five interceptions.Tyson also led UC with 10 passes defensed and had five pass breakups, plus 46 tackles. Tyson was the only Bearcat invited to the 2017 NFL Combine, and has 4.55 speed in the 40 dash.
