Might Cincinnati have just found its quarterback of the future? It's certainly possible as Desmond Ridder, who we talked about in last week's Bearcat 'Crootin, verbally committed to UC over the weekend.
The timeline for Ridder's commitment was quick. Blink-and-you-will-miss-it-entirely quick. After announcing on Twitter that he received an offer from UC on May 6, Ridder visited the Bearcats' facilities seven days later. The day after his visit, which happened to be this past Saturday, Ridder committed.
Ridder, a recruit for the 2017 class, is tagged as a pro-style quarterback by 247Sports, but has the tool set to be more than just a guy that delivers from the pocket.
