Bearcats Men’s Soccer: Season in Review

The Cincinnati Bearcats’ men’s soccer team had one of their strongest seasons in recent memory in 2016, posting a 9-7-1 record overall and a 3-4 record in AAC play. Despite a roster that consisted largely of underclassmen, the Bearcats improved on their 2015 mark of 7-9-3 and look to make further progress in 2017. The Bearcats’ fifth place finish in the AAC left them just short of qualifying for the four-team conference tournament, which was won by perennial powerhouse Tulsa.

Much of the Bearcats’ success in 2016 must be credited to the steady leadership of their head coach, Hylton Dayes, who has guided UC’s men’s soccer program for 16 seasons.
