Bearcats in the Big Leagues: Happ Homers, Harrison Healing

Related Topics: J. A. Happ

Absent from Chicago’s lineup since Saturday, Happ had a nice bounce-back game on Tuesday. He went 2-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored as the Cubs rolled to a 16-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Among a number of strong contributors in WPA (win probability added), Happ came in third on the team, posting a reading of .076. Happ, who had just three hits in the previous nine games, had not had an extra-base hit since July 17 when he launched a double against the Atlanta Braves. He also recorded his first home run since July 8, his only one of the entire month.
