It was a long night for the Golden Hurricane. Two weeks ago, Tulsa went toe-to-toe for 40 minutes with the Bearcats in front of their home crowd. Tonight, Tulsa was overwhelmed by a bigger, stronger, and faster Cincinnati team.
UC pummeled Tulsa this evening, 88-64. Cincinnati improved to 17-3 overall and 6-1 in the American, helping the Bearcats keep pace with Houston in the conference standings.
The first-place Bearcats outshot Tulsa, hitting 14 of 29 three-pointers. The Bearcats outrebounded the Golden Hurricane, 44-26. Despite holding a big half-time lead (39-28), the Bearcats kept pounding on Tulsa in the second half, expanding the lead to 20 with 10 minutes remaining.
