Bearcats can't contain UCLA, out of tourney

SACRAMENTO – It was fun while it lasted for the Cincinnati Bearcats here Sunday night. And then, the almighty UCLA offensive machine fired to life and ended UC’s basketball season.
UC lost 79-67 to the Bruins in the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 at Golden 1 Center, before a crowd of 16,744.
Underdog UC played a deliberate pace and led 33-30 at halftime over the Bruins, who lead the nation in scoring at 90.6 points per game. UC could not have asked for more in the first half, but then UCLA started hitting from 3-point range and dunking the Bearcats into submission.
