It’s July, and college football is getting closer and closer. It’s hard to believe that camp will start in under a month. This week, the preseason watch lists came out for several prestigious awards, and several Bearcats stars have been tapped as potentially being worthy.
Senior QB Gunner Kiel and junior RB Mike Boone were both named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which is the player of the year award in college football. Except that it really isn’t, because there’s that one trophy of the guy in the shape of the guy stiff-arming while running the football that’s kind of more important.
