After reports surfaced that other schools were interested in Mick Cronin and that the University of Cincinnati had offered Cronin a contract extension last year, nobody is talking.
Mike DeCourcy of Sporting News reported Wednesday that Cronin had been offered a contract extension in the Fall of 2018, which "functionally called for a paycut."
The University of Cincinnati has not responded to a request for comment from The Enquirer.
Cronin's current contract, extended in 2016, runs through the 2022-23 season and pays him about $2.2 million a year. He is the 49th-highest paid NCAA men's basketball coach, according to USA TODAY.
