The American Athletic Conference championship game - which the UC Bearcats played in on ESPN (and lost to SMU) in March - will be played in Orlando, Florida, on CBS in 2018, leading into the Selection Show on the same network, the AAC announced Tuesday.
The conference tournament semifinals also will be broadcast by CBS Sports on the Saturday before Selection Sunday through a sublicense agreement with ESPN, according to the AAC.
CBS Tweeted on Tuesday that it will broadcast the Big Ten semifinals and championship one week earlier in 2018, with the games returning to Selection Sunday weekend on CBS the following year - giving the AAC an opportunity to fill the slot the Big Ten had occupied.
