Rick Hahn has a plan in place for the White Sox during the winter meetings next week in Orlando, Fla., it’s just that the general manager isn’t being very forthcoming about it.
“I think we’d characterize our strategy as secretive,” Hahn deadpanned when asked recently about the meetings.
When pressed to elaborate, Hahn reluctantly shared some insight into what the Sox will target when it comes to talking trades and free-agent signings during the annual gathering of baseball’s movers and shakers.
“We are going to be opportunistic when chances to improve ourselves both in the short and long term arise,” Hahn said.
