As the Los Angeles Dodgers poured onto Wrigley Field after they sealed their pennant-clinching 11-1 win over the Cubs, Chicago's center field tandem, Albert Almora Jr. and Jon Jay, sat and watched from the home dugout.
“Jon Jay told me, he’s like, ‘Look at their expressions on their face when they’re celebrating on your field, and let that sink in, and learn from that and build from that,’” Almora said. “And in that moment when I saw them celebrating, obviously it reminded me of last year when we were there, in that spot against them, but I think I learned a lot and gained a lot from that experience, and it’s not a positive one.
