The Cubs headed into Tuesday night’s contest against the Kansas City Royals riding high with an 8-2 record buoyed by four straight victories. Kyle Hendricks took the mound for the Cubs looking for a bounceback appearance after allowing six earned runs in 4.1 innings against Cincinnati on July 29.
