The Chicago Cubs’ Mike Montgomery was fantastic as they won in Joe Maddon‘s return to Tampa Bay. Montgomery took a no-hitter into the sixth before allowing a solo home run to Brad Miller. That would be the only hit he would allow, as the bullpen would close the door on the Rays, as well. Kyle Schwarber hit a solo home run and Javier Baez added a RBI double as the Cubs brought their magic number down to nine.
Be honest. You’ve doubted Schwarber from the start. He’s a DH, you’ve said.
