A good number of the recent Cubs losses have been vexing. Last night? Your mileage may vary, but for me I’m not losing any sleep over that one. It’s not even because they got into the playoffs via other teams losing last night either.
Let’s start with the bad. The Cubs continued not to hit lefthanded pitching. Let’s not make any mistakes, that’s a problem. I suspect at this point that there is at least some possibility a team could reach into the minors (if this were a normal year where the minor leagues existed) and pluck some kid from Double-A and have him shutdown this offense.
