It has to get better if the Bulls want to be taken seriously in the Eastern Conference this season.
As far as Thaddeus Young was concerned, it will get better.
The Bulls defense still has more questions than answers this preseason, but Young is seeing an uptick on that side of the ball, with a big test coming on Sunday in Toronto.
“Yeah, we knew coming into this season that we need to be challenged as a team defensively,’’ Young said. “Coach [Jim Boylen] has done a great job with the rest of the guys of challenging us each and every day to be better defensively.
