LOS ANGELES — What was once imagined to be a clash of NFC juggernauts deteriorated into a loser-leave-town scuffle between the floundering Bears and Rams.
The Bears are those losers, and the Rams exiled them from the playoff race Sunday at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with a 17-7 defeat. It’s hardly believable, if it ever was, for the Bears to claim they’re still in the hunt anymore.
Mitch Trubisky had a 65.1 passer rating in the fourth quarter, and coach Matt Nagy apparently had seen enough. With the team down 10 — hardly a time when he would concede the game--he yanked Trubisky despite no sign of him being injured.
